About Luke Collins Movement & Rehab Specialist

Hi, I'm Luke.

I help people reduce pain, manage medical conditions, move better and build strength for life.

My background in sport started early, with rugby playing a big part in my life. I went on to play at a high level, representing Redruth, Gloucester, the Cornish Pirates, as well as the RAF, Cornwall and England.

I began my working life in the RAF Regiment, where I developed a strong foundation in discipline, structure and attention to detail—skills that still shape how I work today.

After leaving the forces, I completed a Foundation Degree in Sports Science and Management and began building my career in the health and fitness industry. I qualified as a gym instructor in 2007 and in sports massage in 2008, continuing to develop my knowledge across both training and therapy ever since.

Over time, my focus naturally shifted towards rehabilitation. Working alongside physiotherapists and consultant surgeons gave me a deeper understanding of how different approaches and treatments can be combined to achieve the best outcomes.

What became clear is that there is no single solution—no one exercise, treatment or programme that works for everyone.

That’s why my approach is built around the individual.

I focus on understanding how your body moves, what’s holding you back, and creating a clear, structured plan that combines the right elements—whether that’s movement and rehab coaching, personal training, sports massage or medical acupuncture.

Since 2012, I’ve managed and developed training facilities while continuing to build my clinical skills, with a long-term aim of creating a space that brings together the best of both fitness and therapy.

Today, I work with people who are dealing with pain, injury or long-term conditions, as well as those who simply want to feel stronger, more capable and confident in their body.

I’m GP Referral qualified, with Level 4 specialisms in lower back pain, obesity and diabetes, and I continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing study in movement therapy.

All sessions are delivered in a private, supportive environment at The Lodge in Helston and Redruth, with a focus on helping you move more and hurt less—so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.
